Traci Isaly  |  Patricia Buckley  |  Sarah Anne Boyle  |  Anne Norberg  |  Karen Arrasmith

Traci Isaly

Using materials found in nature, fabrics, and formed wire, Traci makes figurative sculptures, or talisman dolls, that interpret ancient doll traditions in a new way. People respond to these extraordinary figures in personal ways that renew natural connections.

At right (animation) Raven Watcher, Little Bird, Little Bird detail, and Rooted.

Traci's work has been seen locally in shows at the former Sparkling Dawg artisan store, The Danforth Gallery, the Livingston Center for Arts and Culture, and at the Phoenix Gallery in Butte, as well as in shows in California and Wyoming.

Patricia Buckley

Mixed media.

"My current art-making practice is intuitive in nature and begins in a variety of ways. I make photos and incorporate these into my drawn and painted collages, which often evolves into a narrative. I also write texts that enhance or provide another layer of meaning."

You can see Patricia's work at her excellent shop, The Drawing Room, 117 E. Callender Street. 222-0023. She's also featured in Hobo Eye, Volume 2.2.

Patricia Buckey's work is currently in the "Speaking Volumes" show at the Holter Museum of Art in Helena, Montana. The Exhibit runs from Jan. 25 to April 13, 2008.

Sarah Ann Boyle

Sarah is the owner and designer of pieces by Fleshman Creek Designs. She creates wirework and beaded jewelry, and she is also starting to design pieces in silver clay. The silver clay process combines water, binders, and particles of silver that are then molded and heated in a kiln. The result is a unique object that is more pure than sterling silver. Sarah's work is available at B. Civilized, 113 W. Park Street in Livingston, and at Sun Dog Trading Company in Silver Gate. You can reach her at sarah_ann76@hotmail.com or 406-222-5642.

Anne Norberg

Anne Norberg is self-taught, initially drawing from her own black and white contact sheet (stamp-sized) photos to delineate light from shadow. She evolved (1964-present) into her current stylistic design/abstract/Neoclassical motifs, drawing subliminally using high-quality markers; and via scanning/adobe filters she creates interesting effects and larger prints from her works. The work shown, "My Favorite Bass Player," is part drawing/collage, utilizing xerox copies of photographs taken in England and Holland by Anne's work partner in Rapid City, South Dakota.

Anne's work was featured in the online arts journal HoboEye. Her work is currently at CHADZ Cafe at 106 N. Main Street.
