Rock the Vote: nothing says bi-partisan like good music that brings us all together
Here’s a chance to hear some incredible music and take a break from the harder edges of Campaign 2008. “Rock the Vote” at the Livingston Depot on Saturday, October 11 from 3 to 6 PM is open to all – Democrats, Republicans, Independents, Undecideds. Nothing reaches across the aisle so much as great music, dancing, and refreshments. Bring the family and friends and enjoy the sounds of J. D. Souther and Raul Malo. UPDATE 10/8/08: Senator Jon Tester will be joining the party, as will the hilarious comedy sketch group Broad Comedy.
Raul Malo and The Mavericks, “There Goes My Heart,” live in Austin, Texas:
J. D. Souther, “You’re Only Lonely”:
Livingston residents have put together this great afternoon for everyone, with Anita Paoli organizing and our incomparable music producer Joanne Gardner rounding up two of today’s finest musicians.
